The first week of NFL training camp opened on Wednesday with the first of three open practices, with the Jets and Patriots the only teams with players on the 53-man roster.
While the Jets were still dealing with injuries to key players, like safety Muhammad Wilkerson and offensive lineman Nate Solder, coach Rex Ryan said on Thursday the Jets will be able to play through their issues.
“I think it’s going to be really easy to handle,” Ryan said, via the Associated Press.
“I think the guys are going to get their feet under them, get it in the right places, and get it out of their system.”
Ryan didn’t have a specific timetable on when the team would return to the field, but said he expects the Jets to be “back on the field soon.”
